Maintenance of Automatic Side-Filling Machines
1.Daily Cleaning and Maintenance (Per Shift / Daily)
Clean the equipment housing, control panel, and work surface; remove dust, oil stains, and waste material to keep the entire machine clean.
Clean residual material from the feed nozzle, discharge port, and around the mold to prevent clumping and blockages that could affect discharge accuracy.
Wipe the surfaces of sensors, photoelectric switches, and positioning probes to prevent dust from obstructing them and causing signal errors.
Inspect the interior of the hopper and remove any residual material or clumps to ensure smooth material flow.
2.Lubrication and Transmission Maintenance
Apply lubricating oil or grease to moving parts such as slide rails, sliders, bearings, and lead screws on a regular schedule.
Check the tension of chains and belts, adjust and clean them promptly to prevent loosening, misalignment, or wear.
Remove excess grease from lubricated areas to prevent dust accumulation, which can form sludge and accelerate component wear.
Regularly inspect all moving mechanisms for unusual noises or sticking to ensure smooth, quiet operation.
3.Maintenance of the Feeding and Injection Systems
Regularly inspect the hopper, feeder, and screw conveyor components, and remove any residual material to prevent bridging and blockages.
Inspect the injection cylinder, piston, and seals for wear and leaks, and promptly replace any aged seals.
Calibrate the injection volume, injection speed, and pressure to ensure stable output and accurate metering.
Clean the filters and feed lines to prevent contaminants from entering the system and causing blockages or wear.
4.Electrical and Control System Maintenance
Clean dust from electrical control cabinets, contactors, relays, and terminal blocks to prevent short circuits or poor connections.
Inspect power and signal cables for damage or deterioration, and organize wiring to prevent crushing or wear.
Test emergency stop buttons, safety doors, and limit switches to ensure that protective devices are responsive and reliable.
Regularly back up system parameters and check that the touchscreen display and buttons are functioning properly to prevent program loss.
5.Pneumatic/Hydraulic System Maintenance (Depending on Machine Model)
Check that air and hydraulic pressures are normal, and inspect for air or oil leaks; tighten connections promptly if necessary.
Drain accumulated water from the air compressor filter, replace the filter element, and ensure the air supply remains dry and clean.
Check the hydraulic oil level and condition; replace the oil immediately if it appears cloudy or contaminated.
Maintain solenoid valves, pneumatic cylinders, and hydraulic cylinders to ensure rapid response and smooth operation.
6.Mold and Tooling Maintenance
Clean the mold cavities and locating surfaces, and inspect them for scratches, deformation, or wear.
Apply appropriate rust-preventive treatment to the mold surfaces; for long-term downtime, apply rust-preventive oil and cover the mold.
Tighten the mold mounting bolts and check the positioning accuracy to ensure consistent product dimensions.
Promptly remove any residual material from the mold to prevent carbonization, which could affect product appearance and quality.
7.Long-Term Shutdown and Safety Precautions
Thoroughly clean the equipment, drain all raw materials, and apply rust-preventive treatment to moving parts before long-term shutdown.
Maintenance must be performed with the power disconnected, the machine shut down, and all pressure relieved.
Do not use highly corrosive solvents to wipe the machine body, seals, or electrical components.
Maintain maintenance records, perform scheduled maintenance, and promptly address issues such as unusual noises, leaks, and accuracy deviations to extend the equipment’s service life.
